Zaarlo is a product of WEPVentures, LLC ("Zaarlo," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide an app that connects to your bank accounts and shows you a weekly Zaarlo Balance number. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you use Zaarlo, we collect:

• Account information — the email address you use to sign in.
• Financial data via Plaid — when you connect a bank account, Plaid (our bank-connection provider) shares your account transactions, account and institution names, and balances with us. We never see or store your bank username or password — that login happens directly between you, Plaid, and your bank.
• Information you enter directly — income sources, recurring expenses, and your weekly spending target, if you choose to add them manually.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to operate Zaarlo: to sync and display your transactions, calculate your weekly Zaarlo Balance number, detect recurring income and bills, and keep your account secure. We do not use your financial data for advertising, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

How we share your information

We share information with the following service providers, solely to operate Zaarlo:

• Plaid — to connect to your bank and retrieve transactions. Plaid's own privacy policy governs its handling of your data during that connection.
• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account and transaction data on our behalf.

We do not otherwise share your information with third parties, except where required by law.

Data security

Your bank connection credentials (Plaid access tokens) are encrypted at rest using a key that is stored separately from our database, so that database access alone is not sufficient to read them. Access to your data requires you to be signed in to your account. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we will delete your stored transactions and disconnect any linked bank accounts.

Your choices

You can disconnect a bank account, edit or remove income and expense entries, and request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.

Children's privacy

Zaarlo is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
